In Wonder of the Moon invited viewers to reconnect with the timeless act of gazing at the moon and to reflect on its enduring place in myth, inspiration, and imagination. Debra Chronister’s hand-formed ceramic sculptures, shaped with lunar textures and luminous finishes of gold and crystal accents, explored cycles, fragility, and our connection to the natural world. Designed to shine indoors or out, the works reflected a belief at the heart of Chronister’s practice: we are not simply observers of nature—we are nature itself.

Dave Merrill | Fall 2025
Flight & Field: Through a South Texas Lens celebrated the wildlife and landscapes of South Texas through Dave Merrill’s nature photography. From the sweeping wings of a whooping crane to cattle grazing quietly in sunlit pastures, each image reflected a deep sense of patience, timing, and reverence for the natural world. Moving between sky and earth, motion and stillness, the exhibition offered an intimate look at the region’s wild beauty. Proceeds from the show supported Friends of Aransas National Wildlife Refuge and its work to protect vital habitats.
Ways of Seeing
Tobin Levy | Summer 2025
Ways of Seeing: Inside the Memory Room explored perception, transformation, and the unexpected lives of forgotten objects. Through sculptural assemblage, altered photographs, and layered imagery, Tobin Levy reimagined familiar materials and invited viewers to reconsider how objects, images, and memories acquire meaning. Rooted in play and shaped by travel and discovery, the exhibition encouraged visitors to slow down, look closely, and find something new in what they thought they already knew.

Petit Amour: Whispers of the Heart explored memory, identity, love, and loss through Sonia Calderón’s evocative series of lip paintings. Inspired in part by her late mother’s lipstick collection, Calderón transformed deeply personal memories into abstract compositions that speak to universal experiences of connection and belonging. Moving between visibility and obscurity, the vivid and the ephemeral, the works captured the traces we leave with one another—a presence that, like a whisper, lingers even after it is gone.

Beauty in Advertising

Unraveled Allure explored the glossy, idealized images of beauty presented through advertising and the desires they create. Denise Prince’s work examined the seductive power of these carefully constructed images while looking beyond their polished surfaces to reveal something more complex. The exhibition invited viewers to consider the tension between allure and reality—and the fleeting nature of the ideals, fantasies, and desires that advertising asks us to pursue.
City of Roses:
Photos, Polkas & Postcards from Victoria, Texas
Russell Fowler | Summer 2024
City of Roses celebrated the visual and musical history of Victoria and South Texas through prints inspired by vintage postcards, photographs, and iconic local imagery. The exhibition paired Fowler’s work with accordion renditions of music originally published in Victoria by the Hauschild Music Co. in the late 1800s. Visitors could take in the art and music while relaxing at the gallery’s “Horseshoe” refreshment counter—a playful tribute to Victoria’s history, culture, and sense of place.
With Love, From Elsa
Elsa Ross | Spring 2024
A Valentine-inspired exhibition celebrating the charm, sentiment, and nostalgia of love in its many forms. Drawing on the visual language of vintage Valentine cards and romantic ephemera, With Love from Elsa brought together playful, heartfelt imagery with a distinctly nostalgic spirit. Sweet, whimsical, and a little sentimental, the show offered a celebration of connection and the enduring tradition of sending a little love.

Kelly O'Connor | Winter 2024
Kelly O’Connor’s collage-based work explores the space between nostalgia, fantasy, and reality. Through mosaic-like abstractions and dreamlike environments, O’Connor combines technicolor papers, vintage imagery, record covers, and other found materials to create fragmented narratives that feel at once familiar and surreal. Her work draws upon the imagery of Western folklore and popular culture, peeling back idealized facades to examine the fabricated environments and collective myths that shape our cultural memory.
